## **Environmental Policy**
**Introduction**
ReadiNow is an Australian company that has adopted a corporate environmental policy aligned to Environmental Management System (EMS) using ISO 14001.
## **Summarised Inclusions**
Our environmental policy states that ReadiNow will:
- continually improve its environmental performance, prevent pollution and responsibly minimise and control its wastes;
- continually improve its environmental performance, prevent pollution and responsibly minimise and control its wastes;
- plan, construct and operate all operating locations to comply with applicable regulations, to meet ISO 14001 or its equivalent and to act with due diligence for environmental protection and improvement;
- regularly review and upgrade its environmental management system in Australia and incorporate the environmental elements of an environmental health & safety management system;
- promote throughout the company a strong environmental ethic as part of its culture
- consider favorably, suppliers who pursue good environmental management practices
- source its paper-products fibre from either:
- recycled fibre recovered from waste paper or
- virgin fibre which is made from wood out of forests which have had their operations and management certified to one of the listed forest management systems. We shall strive for 100% compliance while accepting 70% as a minimum
- help conserve resources by the design and production of products to reduce the use of raw materials, packaging and energy in manufacture, and by recycling production wastes
- communicate openly and constructively with responsible environmental interests, government authorities and the community generally.
## Environmental Management Policy / System
ReadiNow Corporation (ReadiNow) has an Environmental Management System aligned to the ISO 14000 standards for environmental management.
These comprehensive procedures help us achieve our environmental policy and cover the varied environmental aspect of our business and products.
In particular, procedures for water, noise, air, solid waste reduction, energy and greenhouse gas reduction, and safe handling of chemicals.
As part of the policy we will be looking for solutions that will minimise our carbon footprint. We have adopted design principles in line with sustainability and reduction in energy loss.
Our approach takes advantage of a number of factors as amongst others factors such as:
- High efficiency lighting. Light fittings will be selected from sustainable and low embedded energy materials.
- State of the art lighting control and monitoring system, which will also monitor and minimise energy wastage by other auxiliary items of equipment such as hot water heaters, boiling water heaters etc.
- Use of sustainable insulation materials.
- Well-coordinated for optimum performance, minimising energy and material wastage.
## **Reliability / Availability to meet ISO 14001 Standards**
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Centre meets the internationally accepted Uptime Institute’s Tier classifications for infrastructure performance to a Tier 3+. AWS Data Centres have independent positive compliance to ISO 14001:2004.
